The coloured belt gradings are like stepping stones on the path to a student’s goal of Black belt. A grading represents that a student has reached a competent level with their current techniques and are ready to move on to learn and develop more advanced techniques and skill-sets.When a student has completed 5 / 6 Month practice time on a particular belt, and have gained a strong confidence of the technical requirements for their current grade,The examiner may ask to see some or all of the Kihon, Kata and Kumite listed in the KUGB Syllabus. Gradings are held in normaly in Ipswich once every 4 / 5 month.
Students from numerous dojos attend this and grade as a collective group. Students are only tested on the techniques required for their belt grade.a formal presentation will be awarded Grading Certificates and new belt at the Bury St Edmunds SKC
